The Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) works to prevent disease before it starts by helping create healthier communities that support individuals seeking to make healthy choices in their daily lives.  SHIP helps make healthier choices easier.  Improving Health - SHIP is about creating good health for parents, kids and the whole community by decreasing obesity and reducing the number of people who use tobacco and are exposed to tobacco smoke.  Please visit our website for more information, resources, and success stories.

Area folks have been at work since January 2017 exploring the development of a new common market in Austin!  The progress has been promising and intentionally slow to assure a strong community-based foundation is set, sensible by-laws created, and healthy relationships are established to grow the new market from.
